¡Hasta la vista!

The exhibition ¡Hasta La Vista! is basicly consisting of individual works of art eventhough the exibition space itself is constructed as a space, which is able to function as something else than the conventional white cube.

The space is shaped around the idea of 'the club'- not nessesarily the night club as much as the urban space for people to meet. This is a space were a group of people with common interests can relax, read a paper, take a coffee e.t.c. This space becomes the frame surounding the single works of art which to a certain extent becomes integrated in the whole.

The sculptural modulsystem of Jeppe Hein steps into function as shelves for news papers and AV-equipment, the video of Marie Rømer Westh displaying a crucial meeting kan be observed peacefully from a couch and the window installation of Sofie Thorsen works as a window exhibition as well as a shielding from the street. The drawings and installation of Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen takes over both of the spaces with the narrative universe of her 'lilistories' and the installatoric paintings of Eske Kath are physically and contentwise comenting the space as phenomenon.

The different work methods of OTTOs 6 members is an important force in the OTTO coorporation which can be read from the various character of previous OTTO exhitbitions. The artists have not in any earlier connextion exhibited without involving artists not beeing a part of the group. ¡Hasta La Vista! makes theese dynamic differences visible which is the foundation of the last two years work of the exhibition forum.
