A documentary featuring Swedes and Danes living on very beautiful islands surroundings in the Philippines. Most of them are "mixed couples" of a Filipino/a and a Scandinavian.

It is about being a stranger in a foreign country and how the foreigners deal with everyday life problems and the ambivalent of living within two cultures. Why does a Westerner choose to move to an undeveloped third world country, any ways? How do the local people look upon and threat the white foreigners? What do the Westerners do to integrate in society? Is racism, something you have everywhere? How is it when the first years of excitement is gone and the routines of everyday life begins?
